Competitions
This year at Whistle Stop, we are holding two competitions:
Beginner Mix and Match
Friday night's competition is a Beginner Mix n Match Competition. Dancers with less than 2 years experience are encouraged to participate!
Cost: $2
Prize: Passes to Laflx 2026 & Whistle Stop Memorabilia
Open Mix and Match
Saturday night will have an Open Mix n Match competition. All skill and experience levels are encouraged to participate! Competitors will be randomly paired with another follow or lead and be judged on their connection, creativity, technique/skill, and performance/crowd engagement.
Cost: $5
Prizes: Passes to other Lindy Hop events
Crossover Draw
In order to celebrate our 25th Anniversary, we will also be holding a Crossover Draw competition!

1st and 2nd place winners of our Open Mix n Match will get the chance to participate in our new Crossover Draw Mix and Match. Each dancer will be randomly paired with an instructor or DJ. The couples will take the floor for a spotlight dance to the Boiler Makers Jazz Band, and the crowd will decide the winners!
